Our Founder
The founder of Sirius EduCare Centre - Suraiya Hussien, graduated with her Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree (Health Sciences & Social Services) in Psychological Counselling (Psychology) in 2017. In 2021 she completed her BA Honours in Psychology, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Education (EDC & Foundation Phase). Driven by desire to expand her knowledge and excel in her career, Miss Hussien attended many workshops, including, “Equipped to Serve” and “The Undiluted Program”, focusing on counselling individuals. Miss Hussien has also completed a Diploma in TEFL (teaching English and Business English Internationally/Nationally).
Her passion to teach children and assist them in becoming better versions of themselves, resulted in the establishment of Sirius EduCare Centre.
Before devoting her time to Sirius EduCare Centre, she was employed on a full-time basis at the local government hospital, and engaged in part-time private counselling and tuitions.
Our Mission
Sirius EduCare Centre is a special education and mainstream private tuition, institution. At Sirius EduCare Centre, our sessions, are planned specifically for each individual, in order to address their every need and achieve the best result for our little stars.Our Mission is to harness the abilities of each child, strengthen their capabilities, thereby making it possible for the child, parents and family members to cope and function within their environments with ease.
Speciality
Our areas of specialty are; Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD/ADD (Attention Issues), Learning Difficulties (Writing, Reading, Slow Processing, Impulse Control and Poor Listening Skills).Sirius EduCare Centre also offers private tuitions for Grade R to Grade 7 (all subjects following the mainstream school syllabus). In this faculty, extra tuitions are given to all mainstream students, addressing all areas of learning difficulties
